PHOENIX – Wildhorse Ranch Rescue Inc., Gilbert, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to saving horses and mules from abuse, neglect, slaughter and premature death, will have a fall yard and bake sale hosted by Girl Scout Troup 650. The yard and bake sale will be at the ranch with all proceeds designated to help WHRR’s rescue herd of horses and mules.
Girl Scout Troop 650 is doing its part to help the rescue herd at WHRR and has a goal of selling as many items as possible to help the herd. There will be a variety of items from which to choose. It’s also a great way to get extra items and gifts for your holiday shopping with the holidays so close. The variety of items makes it a great opportunity to find things you’ve been looking for or never knew you wanted. And don’t forget to come on by for some delicious baked goods that will be for sale.
Come on down to browse and shop for those hard-to-find items or things you’ve been searching for. Shoppers can take a peaceful break from bargain hunting and sit and relax on the patio to watch the rescue horses and mules. Shoppers also can visit the onsite gift shop or take barn tours of the rescue herd, which includes Granpa’s Charlee, an ex-racehorse, and Rufus and JoJo, two ex-U.S. Forest Service mules.
“We are so grateful to Girl Scout Troop 650 for wanting to help our rescue horses and mules. They’ll be putting in a hard day’s work with WHRR Board Director Ida Meadors, to help bring in funds to help us continue to feed and care for our herd,” said Rhona Melsky, secretary, WHRR.
So trot on over to a place that brings out the best in everyone and help save a horse. All proceeds from the yard sale benefit homeless, abused and neglected horses and mules. This is how shopping was meant to be!
